Angela M Jordan, M.Ed

About Angela

Ms. Jordan is an experienced, certified educator with a considerable background in business, primarily in the areas of business finance and several years of staffing. In addition, Angie is  extremely computer literate/proficient in systems designed for the educational and private sectors.   Angie specializes in relationship and culture building.  She uses these skills to strengthen her interactions with her peers and her students.  It is through these interactions that she is able to achieve positive results.

Ms Jordan's current position in the Jefferson Parish Public School System is SIS Compliance Coordinator where she manages district and school data uploaded to the Department of Education to meet  various state deadlines.  A large part of her day is spent providing assistance to schools and other departments clearing data errors, as well as generating requested reports.  Angie is the liaison between school counselors and the state ensuring that student transcripts are complete and graduation requirements are met.

As a classroom teacher, she holds successful records having taught math, language arts, and science in several urban public schools in Louisiana and Arkansas.  In the classroom setting, Angie's state test proficiency was evident and her interval test scores consistently met or exceeded district scores.  She regularly used those results as well as other data to shape opportunities to work with students towards lesson mastery.   Ms Jordan's last school based assignment was as Middle School Dean where her focus was to bridge the gap between school and home constantly.  Her approach was to work "with her families, not against them."

Angie has previously held the titles of School Improvement Coordinator and Title I Coordinator.  She completed an Administrator prep program through Louisiana State University (RLRP), and has successfully passed the School Leadership (SLLA) exam.  In addition to a dual bachelors in Business Management and Administration, she holds a Masters degree in Educational Technology which she uses to help teachers create meaningful and rigorous technology integrated lessons and activities.  Her next hurdle is obtaining a Doctorate (Ed.D.) in Leadership with a focus in Instructional Leadership.

Angie is a native New Orleanean with two college aged daughters and a 4 yr old granddaughter.
